Fire Safe Clips

Fire safe clips (or d-clips) offer a simple but secure solution for mounting electrical cables and wires to walls and ceilings. The use of fire safety clips helps comply with the electrical legislation regarding the securing of cables in escape routes.  BS7671 standards require ALL types of cables used in escape routes to be secured using suitable fire-resistant fittings.  It is no longer acceptable to rely on traditional plastic fixings or trunking. Fire safe clips are an ideal solution, designed specifically to meet the above requirements.  They ensure cables are held in place for longer during a fire, helping to keep the escape route clear, enhancing health and safety and therefore saving lives. Naturally, fire clips are designed to be highly resistant to heat, and can contain cables on a surface at 930C for up to 2 hours, providing they are secured using non-combustible fixings. Fire safety clips are suitable for use with trunking measuring 30mm, 40mm and 50mm wide.  They are easy to install - simply fold over the tabs to secure the cables to whatever surface you require.
