It gives a precise, clean cut to the rod without damaging the screw thread. The cutting action is so clean there is no need for further grinding or filing – the rod is ready to use immediately, reducing the time required to complete an electrical installation.
The blades and jaws are made of alloy steel, helping maintain sharpness.
The rod cutter comes with a M10 cutting blade already fitted. M6 and M8 dies can also be used with the cutter.
